Broseley Town Council
A Neighbourhood Plan for Broseley
Next Public Meeting: 15th May 2019, Broseley Social Club, 7.30pm.
Neighbourhood Plan Strategy Paper.
What is a Neighbourhood Plan?
Neighbourhood planning gives a community direct power to develop a shared vision for their neighbourhood and shape the development and growth of their local area.
Neighbourhood planning provides a powerful set of tools for local people to ensure that they get the right types of development for their community.
A Neighbourhood Plan sets out where new homes, shops and offices might be built, and allows a community a say on what those new buildings should look like and what infrastructure should be provided.
In Shropshire Much Wenlock and Shifnal have already gone through the process of producing a Neighbourhood Plan. In our area a Neighbourhood Plan would be a natural development from the current Broseley Town Plan and would, if successfully implemented, offer additional planning protection for the area.
